Clearlake Man Suspected In Windsor Market Shooting Surrenders

A 19-year-old Clearlake man suspected of shooting two people inside a Windsor market surrendered to authorities Tuesday night.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA —The 19-year-old Clearlake man identified as the suspect in a shooting that injured two people Monday evening at Estrella’s Market in Windsor has surrendered to authorities.

Ricardo Bracamonte Monjaras turned himself in at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Santa Rosa Police Department.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office took over the investigation.

Bracamonte Monjaras is suspected of a shooting on Monday that injured two people inside a market in Windsor.

The shooting happened at about 5:30 p.m. at Estrella’s Market, 10351 Old Redwood Highway.
Bracamonte Monjaras was inside the store, briefly stepped outside, then returned, at which point authorities suspect he shot an adult male victim, Sonoma County Sheriff spokesman Juan Valencia said.

Investigators believe one of the bullets ricocheted and struck a store employee in the ankle. Both victims were taken to a local hospital, Valencia said, and are expected to survive.

Bracamonte Monjaras fled. His brother and father were arrested.

Bracamonte Monjaras is being held at the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility on $1 million bail, according to authorities.
