Coroner IDs LA-Area Man Found In Russian River
The 40 year old reportedly drowned Monday while swimming.

The Sonoma County coroner’s office has identified a man who drowned in the Russian River Monday as 40-year-old Gilberto Martinez-Calmo of the Southern California city of Hawthorne.
Martinez-Calmo was on an outing with his family at Sunset Beach near Forestville in unincorporated Sonoma County, sheriff’s Sgt. Pete Quartarolo said.
The family lost sight of him and reported him missing around 7:30 p.m. Monday. Sheriff’s deputies, a California Highway Patrol helicopter and firefighters from Monte Rio and Forestville searched for the man until dark.

The search resumed 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, and divers found Martinez-Calmo in about six feet of water around 10:20 a.m. near where he had been swimming, Quartarolo said. An autopsy has not yet been scheduled, according to the coroner’s office.
