Coroner IDs Pair Killed In Crash Near Geyserville

Three vehicles collided on Highway 101 Friday afternoon.

The Sonoma County coroner’s office has identified two people who were killed in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 near Geyserville Friday afternoon.

The driver of a southbound Ford F-150 that overturned and went into the southbound lanes of the highway where it was struck by a Jeep Cherokee was identified as Dominick Conn, 21, of Santa Rosa. The female passenger in the Ford truck was identified as Destiny Singleton, 21. Her address was not immediately known but her next of kin in Minnesota were notified, the coroner’s office said.

Conn and Singleton were wearing seatbelts but died on the scene. The Ford was registered in Arizona, California Highway Patrol Officer Jon Sloat said.

The 18-year-old female driver of the 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee out of Santa Rosa, and her 53-year-old father also were wearing seat belts, Sloat said. Both suffered major injuries and were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Sloat said.

The three occupants of a 2014 Dodge Avenger that also was involved in the collision suffered minor injuries, Sloat said.

The 2004 Ford F-150 drifted to the right just south of Independence Lane and Conn overcorrected to the left and lost control of the pickup, Sloat said. It overturned onto its roof in the center median and entered the northbound lanes of Highway 101, Sloat said.

The collision with the Jeep sent debris east of the highway across the Geyserville Avenue frontage road and damaged 50 feet of fencing, Sloat said.
