Cotati Theft Solved By Arrest, Sheriff's Office Reports
An alert neighbor called to report that someone was trying to break into a car, according to deputies.

COTATI, CA — A Petaluma woman was arrested in Sonoma Thursday morning on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and stolen property, a Sonoma County sheriff's sergeant said.
A caller reported a suspicious woman in east Sonoma trying to open her neighbor's car door around 8:40 a.m., Sgt. Spencer Crum said.
Sheriff's deputies contacted Michaela Kolodin, 23, of Petaluma in her parked car in the area of 4th Street East and York Court, Crum said.

Kolodin had several warrants for her arrest, and she had methamphetamine and items stolen during car burglaries in Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Penngrove and Cotati, Crum said.
Some victims have identified their stolen items but there are several unaccounted for purses, wallets and personal items, Crum said.

Anyone whose property was taken in a car burglary is asked to call detective Jack Neely at (707) 565-2185. Photos of the stolen property are available on the sheriff's Facebook page.
