David Cobb -- attorney, activist and national spokesperson for Move to Amend -- will present his talk "Creating Democracy and Challenging Corporate Rule," a rousing presentation about the story of the American creation myth, the Constitution as it pertains to Corporate Personhood and illegitimate but legal corporate constitutional rights.
Move to Amend is a national coalition of over 310,000 people and organizations whose goal is amending the United States Constitution to end corporate rule by building a multiracial, cross-class democracy movement.
Cobb will be joined by Margaret Koster, a Move to Amend organizer who coordinated a successful ballot campaign in Mendocino County. Following this inspiring call-to-action David and Margaret will lead a discussion about local participation with Move Amend in Sonoma County.
This event is free and open to the public. Donations appreciated. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
