Crews Knock Down Fire At North Bay BBQ Eatery
The blaze was confined to the air scrubber on the roof of KINsmoke in Healdsburg.

HEALDSBURG, CA – Firefighters responded Sunday night to a blaze at KINsmoke barbecue restaurant on Center Street in Healdsburg, according to authorities.
The Healdsburg Fire Department reported the fire, called in at about 8:30 p.m., was contained to the rooftop grease and smoke removal system.
It was confined to a motor of a "smoke hog," an electrostatic air scrubber that takes in and filters particulates in smoke from the barbecue and is located on the roof of an extension of the restaurant, KINsmoke owner Brad Barmore said Monday afternoon.

"The fire suppression system within the unit worked as designed and kept the fire from entering the structure until we could extinguish the fire," Healdsburg fire officials said.
No injuries were reported, and no fire, water or smoke damaged the eatery at 304 Center which reopened Monday at 3 p.m.

Firefighters from Windsor, Cloverdale, Geyserville and Cal Fire also responded to the fire.
