Cyclist Injured In Collision With Car At Hwy 101 On-Ramp

A bicyclist suffered major injuries after colliding with a car in Santa Rosa Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to a report of a vehicle versus bicycle collision on the Guerneville Road on-ramp to northbound U.S. Highway 101, CHP Officer Eric Anderson said.

Anderson said the vehicle involved in the collision stayed on scene.

The cyclist suffered major injuries and Anderson said officers requested an ambulance to transport him to the hospital. No further information was immediately available.
