Deadline To Register For Nov. 4 Special Election Today
Where to register and what to do if you miss the deadline.
PETALUMA, CA — Sonoma County residents have until Oct. 20 to register to vote in the upcoming Nov. 4 Statewide Special Election, Registrar of Voters Evelyn Mendez announced Thursday.
Eligible voters who miss the deadline can still register and vote in person using same-day registration at the Registrar of Voters Office or at any Vote Center.
Voters can register online at RegisterToVote.ca.gov by 11:59 p.m. Oct. 20, or submit a paper form at any post office or library.

Mailed forms must be postmarked no later than Oct. 20.
The Registrar of Voters Office, located at 435 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa, is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will extend hours on weekends leading up to Election Day.

The office will also be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 4.
