Update: Deadly Crash Closes Sonoma County Road
The CHP reports that the coroner's office has been called to the scene.

Update:
The road has reopened.
The victim was a 33-year-old man who died after his vehicle smashed into a tree. His name has not been released.

A fatal accident has closed Guerneville Road west of Santa Rosa tonight, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers responded to a report of an accident involving at least two cars on Guerneville Road near Laguna Road shortly after 8 p.m. CHP officials said.
At least one person died in the accident and the Sonoma County coroner’s office has been called to the scene, CHP officials said.
A Sig-alert was issued at 8:31 p.m. closing Guerneville Road in both directions between Santa Rosa and Graton, according to the CHP.
There is no estimated time of when the roadway will reopen, CHP officials said.
