Deputies ID Sebastopol Man Killed In Occidental Accident

The 38-year-old's truck struck a wooden power pole Tuesday morning.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified the driver who died in a crash on Occidental Road Tuesday morning as Juan Alberto Zuniga, 38, of Sebastopol.

Zuniga's Chevrolet Silverado struck a wooden power pole on Occidental Road near Jonive Road east of Occidental around 8:30 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Jon Sloat said.

Driving at an unsafe speed and damp roadway conditions are believed to be factors in the crash, Sloat said.
