Each year at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest gets international attention. As soon as the Associated Press releases their article on the contest almost every major news station and paper runs with it.

We ran a post on this year’s contest that was way more in depth with pictures and video call Breaking News: Quasi Modo winner of the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest!. It not only gets international attention, it also gets live coverage on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. In response to winners of the contest, Jimmy tries to help the World’s Ugliest Dog with a make-over on national TV.

Last year’s World’s Ugliest Dog was Peanut, and we featured his makeover last year in our post Video: #Petaluma’s Ugliest Dog Gets Makeover on Jimmy Kimmel Show. This year’s first place winner was Quasi Modo, a 10-year-old pit-Dutch shepherd mix breed from Florida. Yesterday Quasi Modo was featured on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Kimmel reached out to celebrity stylist Carson Kressley and his team of hair, makeup and fashion experts to give the World’s Ugliest Dog a full celebrity makeover.
