Driver Arrested After Suspected DUI Wreck In Rohnert Park

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A Santa Rosa man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Sunday after an injury crash in Rohnert Park sent him and a passenger to a hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At 12:45 a.m. Sunday, CHP officers responded to a caller who witnessed the crash. According to the witness, a 1999 Ford truck was weaving in the No. 3 lane on southbound U.S. Highway 101 before swerving off the road
and overturning several times near Golf Course Drive, CHP officials said.
The driver, Jacob Wandrey, 20, and a 20-year-old passenger, both of Santa Rosa, were transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

There, officers noted signs of intoxication and Wandrey was booked on suspicion of felony DUI causing injury, driving on a suspended license, violation of probation, and failure to provide insurance.
The passenger suffered major but not life-threatening injuries, according to the CHP.
