Driver Dies In Solo Vehicle Crash In Cotati

COTATI, CA — A man died in a solo vehicle crash Friday night after his truck ran off West Sierra Avenue in Cotati and flipped over, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.

Officers found the man trapped in his Dodge truck near West Sierra Avenue and West School Street around 10:22 p.m. Friday, Officer David deRutte said in a release.

Fire crews extracted the man from the truck, but he died in the ambulance on the way to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, according to the CHP.

The man wasn't wearing a seatbelt, deRutte said.
