Ducks Day Open House

Saturday December 13th

Fun activities for all ages, 10am-3pm. Free (donations appreciated). and, Presentation with Dave Barry, 3:00-4:30pm, $10 at the door.

In conjunction with our regular Second Saturday of the Month Open House, 10am-3pm, Laguna Environmental Center, 900 Sanford Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95401

Paddle on over to the Laguna Environmental Center for this fun and fascinating Open House all about DUCKS and other waterfowl! From 10am-3pm, enjoy the free, self-guided explorations of waterfowl-related displays and fun activities for all ages. Take a Guide-led tour to learn about the natural and cultural history of the Laguna de Santa Rosa and historic Stone Farm. Explore the Children’s Playscape, bird watch from the observation deck, and bring a picnic to enjoy the fabulous views. Free (donations appreciated).

Then stick around for a special presentation, Introduction to Waterfowl of Sonoma County and California: Identification and Habits of our Wonderful Waterfowl, with Dave Barry. The presentation is $10 at the door (no one turned away for lack of funds). Light snacks and tea provided. Early Sunday morning 12/14, Dave Barry will be leading a related, natural history walk focused on waterfowl. Details and registration on our website.
