DUI Suspect Arrested After Hitting Parked Car In Rohnert Park

The 19-year-old's blood-alcohol level was four times the legal limit, officials said.

ROHNERT PARK, CA – Rohnert Park public safety officers arrested a 19-year-old man early Wednesday morning on suspicion of drunken driving after he allegedly crashed a Volkswagen Jetta into a parked car.

At about 12:45 a.m., officers were called to Santa Alicia Drive near Alta Avenue to investigate the crash.

Officers found three men standing near the Volkswagen, which had major damage and appeared to have rammed into a car parked nearby, public safety officials said.

After talking to the driver, Ryan Maloney of Rohnert Park, officers suspected that he might be intoxicated. An investigation revealed that Maloney was driving with a blood alcohol level that was four times the legal limit of .08 percent, according to officers.

Maloney was arrested and taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation, officers said.

None of the three men involved in the crash reported any injuries, according to public safety officials.
