Earthquake Shakes Rohnert Park, North Bay
An earthquake struck about 4 miles from Rohnert Park early Monday afternoon — Did YOU feel it?

ROHNERT PARK, CA — An earthquake that struck not far from Rohnert Park early Monday afternoon registered as a 3.0-magnitude, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake recorded at 12:53 p.m. about 3.7 miles east-northeast of Rohnert Park in Sonoma County followed a 2.5-magnitude temblor reported at 11:49 a.m. with an epicenter less than 4 miles north-northeast of Penngrove.
Workers on the second floor of a building in Rohnert Park reported feeling the stronger of the two quakes, with their desks slightly moving.
Folks in Cotati, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Penngrove, Glen Ellen, Sebastopol and elsewhere in Sonoma County also reported experiencing the 3.0-magnitude earthquake, which according to the USGS struck at a depth of 4 miles below the earth's surface.
