The event will involve a program of speakers, as well as opportunities for attendees to share their memories and participate in honoring Coleman-Senghor as a colleague, teacher, friend, and beloved member of the SSU community.

According to a Facebook page created for the event, "there will [hopefully] be an opportunity for sharing passages from literary works, so please bring a piece or two that you might wish to read; other sentiments are also warmly encouraged, in case you wish to collect your thoughts in advance."
