Classical & Contemporary Dance with Tamara Grose presents NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Come enjoy CCD’s wimsical ballet Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington "The Pumpkin King" of Halloween Town has grown tired of the same routine year after year. Wandering in the forest outside the town center, he accidentally opens a portal to "Christmas Town". Impressed by his discovery Jack presents his findings and his quite limited understanding of the holiday to the Halloween Town residents. Jack's obsession leads him to play the role of “Sandy Claws”. Every resident is assigned a task to create this new holiday, while Jack’s good friend Sally, a rag doll woman, expresses fear that his plans will become disastrous. Sally tries to detour Jack’s plan, but to no avail. Jack assigns a group of mischievous crooks to abduct “Sandy Claws” and bring him back to Halloween Town. Instead “The Claws” is delivered to Oggie Boogie, a gambling bogeyman. It looks like there is no hope for Christmas. But alas! Jack’s attempt to steal Christmas fails misrablly and he saddened by the dissapointed and spooked children in Christmas Town. He conjures up a plan to rescue the Sandy Claws and put things right again.

Back in Halloween Town the residents are forlorned am misrialbe with out Jack. Although depressed by the failure of his plan, Jack quickly regains his old spirit, having come up with new ideas for next Halloween. Jack returns to Halloween Town to share his new ideas with the townsfolk and his friend, Sally. La, la, la, la, la, lala, la!
