For the final concert of the 2011 SFEMS MedRen Workshop week at Sonoma State University, we offer a very special pairing of virtuoso cornettist Bruce Dickey (www.concertopalatino.com) and ud virtuoso, Mehmet Sanlikol (http://www.sanlikol.com/). In this unusual combination, these superb artists will give us a glimpse into the beauty of music from the Venetian and Ottoman courts of the 17th century. Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear these outstanding musicians combine their talents in one concert. Joined by members of the MedRen Workshop faculty and their guests, the concert promises to be one which will transport listeners to another era and other lands, where the richness of this art evokes the height human culture.
