Jared Gold Group featuring Sylvia Cuenca, drums & Randy Vincent, guitar
New York-based Jared Gold is a versatile master of the Hammond B3 organ who has caught the attention of such veteran notables as Dave Stryker, Oliver Lake, Adam Nussbaum & John Abercrombie. Sylvia Cuenca is a San Jose native who has become a fixture on the New York scene; she is a regular member of Clark Terry’s quintet and has toured extensively with Joe Henderson. They will join SSU’s own Randy Vincent for this west coast appearance.
Jazz Forum at SSU is a unique performance/master class designed to expose jazz majors and guests to a wide variety of jazz styles. Guest musicians perform their music with commentary in a relaxed atmosphere. Info: leibinge@sonoma.edu
