October 3:

SSU Faculty Jazz Ensemble

The SSU Faculty Jazz Ensemble, co-led by drum instructor George Marsh and program director Doug Leibinger, explores the lines where free improvisatory music and jazz intersect. The group uses improvisatory games and schema to inform and augment standard jazz tunes and original compositions. The future of jazz is NOW!

Jazz Forum at SSU is a unique performance/master class designed to expose jazz majors and guests to a wide variety of jazz styles. Guest musicians perform their music with commentary in a relaxed atmosphere.
