Jeff Denson Quartet featuring Ralph Alessi
Bassist Jeff Denson performed at SSU three years ago with the legendary Lee Konitz. Now he returns leading a stellar quartet featuring trumpeter/composer Ralph Alessi, pianist Florian Weber, and drummer Dan Weiss.
The group will perform a concert on the same evening in GMC 1028 at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Mel Graves Memorial Fund.
Jazz Forum at SSU is a unique performance/master class designed to expose jazz majors and guests to a wide variety of jazz styles. Guest musicians perform their music with commentary in a relaxed atmosphere.
