Fatal Crash Blocks Hwy 101 In Santa Rosa
BREAKING: Just after 9 a.m. Wednesday, CHP canceled its Sig-alert and all lanes were once again flowing from Rohnert Park.

SANTA ROSA, CA — The Sonoma County coroner's office has identified the victim of a fatal collision early this morning on northbound U.S. Highway 101 south of state Highway 12 in Santa Rosa as Christopher Lawrence Hamilton, 35.
Hamilton, a Santa Rosa resident, died in a collision reported around 3:35 a.m. that involved a big-rig and a Volkswagen Golf, CHP Officer Steve Fricke said. Further details were not immediately available.
The crash blocked two lanes of the highway and a connector ramp from northbound Highway 101 and state Highway 12, CHP officials said.

Although the transition ramp to Highway 12 reopened at about 6:45 a.m., the collsion resulted in traffic delays on northbound 101 from Rohnert Park.
All lanes of the highway reopened by 8:36 a.m. and the Sig-alert was canceled at 9:17 a.m., CHP reported.
