Fire Contained To Garage Apartment Complex

Rohnert Park Public Safety began received multiple 9-1-1 calls Saturday afternoon reporting a garage on fire in a highly dense apartment area at 921 Kirsten Court.

Responders found a single story, unattached garage unit -- that consisted of three garages -- on fire.

Rohnert Park fought the blaze with assistance from Rancho Adobe Fire and Rincon Valley, the department said.

The fire was contained to the garage structure, and there was no damage to the adjacent multi-family apartment complex.

The fire was under control within approximately 15 minutes from the initial call, and is under investigation at this time by a Rohnert Park fire investigator, officials said.

Initial damage estimates report damage to the structure at $40,000, and $10,000 to contents within the garages.

No injuries to residents, other citizens, or fire personnel were reported.
