Fire At Pet Hospital Causes $100K In Damage
No animals were injured in the early-morning blaze, fire officials said.

SANTA ROSA, CA — No animals were injured in a fire at a veterinary clinic early Tuesday morning in Santa Rosa, the fire department said.
The blaze at Lakeside Pet Hospital, 4331 Montgomery Drive, was reported at 1:20 a.m. by a security guard who saw smoke coming from the attic vents and called 911.
The first engine crew was on the scene in under 6 minutes and confirmed a fire was burning in the attic of the one-story veterinary clinic, Santa Rosa FD Battalion Chief Matt Dahl said.

Three more engine crews and a ladder truck crew responded.
"Firefighters attacked the fire from the interior and roof and brought it under control in 15 minutes," Dahl said. "Crews searched the building for animals, but none were present."

The blaze resulted in an estimated $100,000 in damage to the building and contents.
The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical in nature.
The fire department turned control of the building back over to the business and property owner once they arrived.
