Fun, Fun Fun: Beach Boys Rock The Sonoma-Marin Fair

Summer fun was in full swing at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma Thursday night with traffic jams, long lines for rides and The Beach Boys performing classic California hits to a packed stand-up crowd.

Getting to the popular fair was half the battle, as Highway 101 traffic was brought to a standstill with the off-ramps to the fair were backup onto the freeway. Getting to the main fair parking lot was made more difficult with only one lane being used to enter while parking attendants collected the $5 parking fee.

Not a single Petaluma Police was seen for traffic control.

But once inside, it was all fair fun as crowds packed the main stage for the Beach Boys concert, who knocked out song after song, pleasing the mostly older crowd. But there were some teenagers dancing to the iconic hits.
