Gas Leak In Rohnert Park: Shelter-In-Place Order Lifted
Anyone in the area of Executive Avenue was advised to shelter in place.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — A gas leak Monday in Rohnert Park led to a shelter-in-place order that has since been lifted. At 12:01 p.m., the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety sent a Nixle alert stating there was a gas leak on Executive Avenue.
Everyone on and near Executive Avenue — a commercial area just east of U.S. Highway 101 off State Farm Drive — was advised to shelter in place.
Rohnert Park DPS said in an update at 1:05 p.m. that PG&E was on scene, the gas leak had been secured and the shelter-in-place order had been lifted.

A spokeswoman for PG&E told Patch the flow of gas was reported at 11:56 a.m. Monday and involved a third-party contractor not affiliated with PG&E who was digging and struck a gas line.
The leak impacted one customer's natural gas service and was stopped by 1 p.m., according to Karly Hernandez of PG&E.
