Golis Parks Deadly Playgrounds Still In Use!

Golis Park Playgrounds still un-inspected by the State as required by Law. Why do we have two new playgrounds in G Park in Rohnert Park, Ca. 94928? Our two new playgrounds were installed without any inspections being done. They were installed without going through the city’s inspection group, and never got the final State Inspection done as Required by Law. The whole job was built out of UBC Codes, (concrete, rebar, compaction) and without following the Public Playground Safety Requirements (Site Drainage, 8’ Landing Zones, 36” Max Platform Heights without handrails, Transition Platforms at top of Slides, Clear Landing Zones Incase Of falls, they will land on the next equipment pieces). One of the most important safety Requirements I saw that the site has proper drainage. This is required because the water under the Loose Fill Fall Protection (Redwood Bark) will become Hazardous, and no one will know it’s there.

Parents are allowing there Toddlers to play on the Elevated Playground Structure that’s for kids 5 to 12 years old. They are putting their 2 and 3 year olds up on Slides that are 8’ off the ground. If they fall, they will break their necks. There are dozens of dangers in the Elevated Playground Structure alone.

The State Inspector would Never approve of this Playground to be opened. That’s why they never got it inspected as required by law.

It looks like the City is going to wait until a kid gets seriously hurt, or God forbid a child dies from a fall that breaks their neck, before they act on the Deadly Playground At Golis Park.

The whole City Councle, Building Dept, Code Inforcement Groups all know of the Violations because they were getting emails with photos and sections of the codes that they were not following, and why they needed to be done the right way as they were being done, and they never stopped them and made them do it right. The Playground Company was also included in all the emails, and they also did nothing to make the contractors do it the Right way.
