Golis Parks Playgrounds Upcoming Safety Inspection

A third party contractor is coming in to check for Safety Violations

The City’s Responce to all the Code And Safety Violations saying it was Inspected by a Certified State Inspector can’t be True. The National Safety Requirements for Public Playgrounds states that there MUST be a 6’ Clearence in All directions around any Place that a child could Fall from the Playground Structure. This Elevated Playground Structure is in violation of this section of the code in many places.

They also have no Drainage on the site as shown in the photos. There are also many places that a child can just walk off, or Back off the Elevated Platforms.

There isn’t any Site Control or Supervision or Lighting at the Playgrounds.

The parents let their kids go up on the Elevated Playground Structure, And when needed they actually place their kids up on the Elevated Sections so they can fall and break their necks.

The NATIONAL PLAYGROUND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS state that a 6’ Clearence in all directions where a Fall is Possible. This Requirement has no Age limit or Height limit, and was listed as of 2018, so it’s the latest National Safety Standards for Public Playground Structures.

No site drainage was hidden by them covering up the rest of the remaining water that was on the site. They waited for three weeks for the water to drain, but it never did drain or evaporate. So they covered it up with the Loose Fill Fall Protection (Redwood Bark). This is a hidden danger that without the Proper drainage the water will become Hazardous every time it rains, will get worse as time goes on. This can be Deadly to the public that come into contact with the Redwood Bark. The area is already loaded with Flies from the Contaminated Material below. (This is the 35 years of Pets and Rats that live in the Ground Cover Surrounding the Site, and the Park.)

So you can’t hide all the Safety Violations that are All Still in Plane Site, not counting all the UBC (Uniform Building Codes) violations that are hidden and covered up. By not following the proper procedures for installing Concrete, and no Re-bar used, and Fence post concrete used on the Elevated Steps, and not mixed, just dumped in the hole dry, then added water on top.

Some of the other things that are required to take into consideration is the Site Location. Right next to the Contaminated Stormwater Drainage System’s Outlet right at the Playground isn’t a good place to have non restricted access to the Ragging Waters after a rain storm, or letting them play in the Hydrocarbons and heavy metals being washed down from the streets during rain storms.

The kids play in the Contaminated Sediment once it dries up.

Plus due to the Sediment buildup down stream, the Whole System stays half full of Contaminated Water with Hydrocarbon’s floating on top of the water. What does come out stays in the Vegetation and Dirt.

It’s the City’s Responceability to keep the OPEN Drainage Culverts through the City, clear of the Sediment build up, And the Overgrown Vegetation, but they refuse to do the work. They have been informed that it’s their responsibility to keep them clear. It’s been building up for years now, and they still haven’t lifted a finger to do the work and eliminate the blockage or the Fire danger that the Overgrown Vegetation presents behind your houses.

Ps; So for the city to say it was inspected and was built to code, is a complete lie.

So the Press Dem Reporter told me that a Third Party Contractor is coming in to verify that it was built to code, and all the Safety Violations in the Photos (that are still there) are just a figment of our imagination.
