Earlier this month, more than 60 Graton Resort & Casino team members participated in a hunger relief event with the Redwood Empire Food Bank. This is the second such event that the two organizations have partnered on to help feed people in need across Sonoma County. During the event, held inside The Ballroom, volunteers prepared more than 1,000 nutrition assistance boxes, which will provide more than 30,000 meals to local residents. Each box includes canned vegetables and fruits, canned soups and snack bars.

In advance of the event, a Peanut Butter Drive yielded a collection of more than 1,000 jars for needy families. To date, Graton Resort & Casino has donated $25,000 to the Redwood Empire Food Bank, which covers one year of food distributions to Sonoma County residents.
