Guns, Ski Mask, Gloves Recovered In Traffic Stops: Santa Rosa PD
Five people were arrested as a result of the stops, police said.
SANTA ROSA, CA — Four loaded guns, latex gloves and a ski mask were recovered in two traffic stops late Thursday and early Friday in Santa Rosa, police said.
The first stop happened around 11 p.m. as officers were working proactive enforcement in the area of Dutton Avenue and Sebastopol Road, Santa Rosa police Sgt. Christopher Mahurin said.
The officers stopped a black Chrysler 300 for multiple suspected vehicle code violations and the driver, 19-year-old Troy Hale of Santa Rosa, had a felony warrant from a previous gun possession case.

Hale was cooperative and as he was being placed under arrest, officers saw a tan-and-black firearm protruding from underneath the driver’s seat where he'd been sitting, Mahurin said.
On further inspection, officers saw that the gun was a black Glock 26 slide, with an unserialized "Polymer 80" grip, commonly referred to as a "ghost gun," the sergeant said.

"The firearm was chambered in 9mm, with a laser mounted beneath the barrel, and had one round in the chamber along with 10 more in the magazine," Mahurin said.
Hale was ultimately booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of carrying a concealable firearm in a vehicle, possession of a loaded firearm not by the registered owner, prohibited person in possession of ammunition and felon in possession of a firearm.
The second stop happened around 2 a.m. Friday at Corby and Peach avenues when officers saw a silver Acura with a vehicle code violation. There were four men in the car and officers saw a gun at one of the passengers' feet, Mahurin said.
Officers cuffed all four men and proceeded to search the car. They found three guns, all with a round in the chamber and full magazines, Mahurin said.
"Officers also located latex gloves and face coverings, including a ski mask," Mahurin said.
Kevin Lindsey, Jahrel Johnson, Colvin Gilliam and Aiden Loveless, all from the San Francisco area, were arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealable firearm in a vehicle, possession of a loaded firearm not by the registered owner, felon in possession of a firearm, and receiving known stolen property, police said.
