Harley-Davidson Rider Critically Injured In Santa Rosa Crash

The motorcyclist was struck by a BMW while exiting a gas station parking lot, according to the California Highway Patrol.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A Santa Rosa man is hospitalized with critical injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash Sunday in south Santa Rosa, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said Monday. Forrest Isbell, 58, was thrown from his Harley-Davidson when he was struck by a BMW SUV at about 2:10 p.m. Sunday as he was exiting the parking lot of a gas station at the corner of Todd Road and Santa Rosa Avenue, according to CHP Officer Jonathan Sloat.

"He made a left turn to proceed northbound on Santa Rosa Ave. and did not see a BMW SUV that was approaching southbound," Sloat said.

Isbell was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for injuries described by Sloat as "critical."
