Harley Rider Suffers Major Injuries in Sonoma County Crash

A Lexus driver didn't see the motorcycle, according to the CHP.

A Sonoma man suffered major injuries when his motorcycle and a Lexus collided in unincorporated Sonoma County south of Sonoma city limits this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

Daniel Alvarez Hernandez, 37, was riding a 2010 Harley Davidson on Broadway at Specht Road around 6 a.m., CHP Officer Anna Paulson said. Diane Sangiacomo, 76, of Sonoma, did not see Hernandez’s motorcycle when she pulled her 2008 Lexus out of a private driveway and turned left onto the west side of Broadway, Paulson said.

The motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the Lexus, causing major injuries to Hernandez, Paulson said.
