The road was closed for about 16 hours.

State Highway 1 north of Jenner in Sonoma County is now open after a tanker truck spilled fuel on the roadway Sunday, California Highway Patrol officials said this morning.

The motorist alert issued at 11:43 a.m. Sunday was lifted at 3:32 a.m. today and all lanes are open in the area of the 14000 block of state Highway 1 where the fuel spill occurred, said CHP Officer William Ogilvie.
