Home, Vehicles Suffer $500K Of Damages In Fire

SANTA ROSA, CA – A fire in Rincon Valley on Monday severely damaged a home, destroyed two motor homes and caused almost a half million dollars in damage, according to Santa Rosa fire officials.

The blaze was first reported at 12:14 p.m. in the 500 block of Benjamins Road, fire officials said.

The motor homes, which were on fire in the backyard of the single-story home when fire crews arrived, extended to the wood-frame residence and caused heavy damage to a rear room and the entire attic.

The fire displaced four residents, but nobody was injured, according to fire officials. The cause appears to have been accidental, with fire officials saying faulty electrical connections the likely cause.
