Hwy 12 Bleach Spill Results in 1-Way Traffic Control

BREAKING: The CHP says a flatbed truck spilled an estimated 36 gallons of bleach.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- One-way traffic control is in effect on state Highway 12 near Sebastopol on Tuesday morning after a flatbed truck spilled an estimated 36 gallons of bleach in bottles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The spill near Llano Road was reported at 9:54 a.m. Dec. 13. Both lanes of Highway 12 were shut down at 10:05 a.m. and traffic was diverted to Irwin Lane, CHP officials said.

The eastbound lane reopened but westbound lanes to Sebastopol remained closed and one-way traffic went into effect around 10:30 a.m.
