Large Gang Fight In Santa Rosa Leaves 2 Injured: Police

Detectives are concerned about the injured victims' well-being and are encouraging anyone who knows anything to come forward.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A large gang fight Wednesday night in Santa Rosa was interrupted by police, who are seeking the public's help to locate two victims believed to have suffered injuries in the incident at West Avenue and Sunset Avenue, Santa Rosa police Sgt. Tommy Isachsen said.

As officers responded to the brawl at about 10:15 p.m., multiple cars were seen leaving the scene, Isachsen said. Witnesses told police they saw two Hispanic men who appeared to be about 18 years old get attacked by multiple people who struck them with a blunt object.

"One victim is believed to have been struck in the head and may have sustained a head injury or possible head trauma," Isachsen said. "... Detectives believe the attack was a targeted incident and gang-related based on the initial investigation."
