A traffic violation stop led officers in Santa Rosa to the discovery of a concealed loaded firearm early Wednesday morning.

SANTA ROSA - A traffic violation stop led officers in Santa Rosa to the discovery of a concealed loaded firearm early Wednesday morning, according to police.
Police said officers made a traffic stop on a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville at 3:26 a.m. in the area of Cleveland Avenue and Guerneville Road for an alleged vehicle code violation.
According to police, the driver told officers she did not have a valid California driver's license.

Police said the passenger, 30-year-old Derrick Lamm of Santa Rosa, was acting suspiciously and was asked by officers to exit the vehicle for a pat down search.
During the search, the officers allegedly discovered a loaded Titan .25-caliber pistol in the front pocket of Lamm's jeans.

It was determined that Lamm had prior felony convictions that prevented him from owning or possessing a gun and he was arrested without incident.
Lamm was booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm and carrying a loaded firearm in public.
The female driver of the vehicle was cited and released for allegedly driving while unlicensed, displaying false registration and having expired vehicle registration.
