Man Arrested After Firing Unregistered Gun Out Of Vehicle: Santa Rosa PD

The man was arrested Friday night, according to police.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A 22-year-old Santa Rosa man was arrested Friday night on allegations of shooting a firearm out of a vehicle.

Marcos Garcia was taken into custody just before 11 p.m. after Santa Rosa police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2900 block of Bay Village Circle, according to a statement from the Santa Rosa Police Department.

Garcia was allegedly seen standing outside a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle the shots were allegedly fired from.

An unregistered .9 mm handgun was allegedly found in his pocket during a search. Seven spent shell casings were found in the parking lot of the apartment complex where he was found, police said.

There were no reported injuries or property damage.

Garcia was arrested without incident and booked into Sonoma County Jail.
