Man Arrested Near Sebastopol For Allowing 15-Year-Old Daughter To Drive
He told CHP he was teaching her to drive, but officer did not buy his story.

The California Highway Patrol arrested a Santa Rosa man for child endangerment after he allowed his 15-year-old daughter to drive his car Sunday evening.
CHP Officer Jon Sloat said the driver, Grasifedo Chavez, 35, appeared intoxicated when the car was stopped and an officer found empty beer cans in the vehicle. The officer saw the Dodge Ram truck with an expired registration driving 20 mph on Llano Road east of Sebastopol around 7:30 p.m., Sloat said.
When the truck turned into a private driveway, the officer found the teen at the wheel, Sloat said. Chavez said he was teaching his daughter to drive and he was meeting someone at the residence where the truck pulled in, according to Sloat.

The resident told the officer he didn’t know Chavez, who then was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, permitting an unlicensed driver to operate his vehicle and providing false information to an officer.
