Man With Gun Arrested Outside A&L Market on East Cotati Avenue
A Rohnert Park female was arrested on drug-related charges.

Two were arrested Friday evening after a citizen reported a motorist was sitting inside a vehicle in a East Cotati Avenue market parking lot with a handgun on his lap, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
Dispatchers received the call at 5:40 p.m. that a male was seated in a vehicle, parked in the lot directly in front of A&L Market located at 1435 East Cotati, The caller reported that the driver had a handgun in his lap and was speaking with another subject at the open driver’s window, police said.
Arriving officers found the vehicle in the parking lot, located the gun and arrested the driver, Ryan Kaczmarek, 25, of Petaluma, for suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm within a vehicle and openly carrying an unloaded handgun in a vehicle in a public place, police said.

A female, Jennifer Nieves, 31 of Rohnert Park, was also arrested for outstanding drug possession and drug paraphernalia warrants totaling $50,000, police said.
Both Kaczmarek and Nieves were booked at the Sonoma County jail.
