Man Wearing Fake Nose Tries Robbing Sonoma Co. Bank

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A man in his early 20s, wearing a black beanie, sunglasses and a fake nose, attempted a hold-up Monday at a Wells Fargo Bank in Sebastopol, according to police.
Shortly after 5 p.m., the Sebastopol Police Department responded to the attempted robbery call at the bank at 7151 Bodega Ave. in Sebastopol.
The unidentified suspect reportedly approached a teller and asked for all the $50 and $100 bills, police said. When the teller refused, he fled the bank toward High Street and south. No weapon was seen, but the man kept a hand in his coat pocket, police said.

The suspect was described as a white male with acne and wearing a gray suit coat with a shirt underneath, light-colored dirty jeans and black boots.
Officers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the department at 707-829-4400. Callers can remain anonymous.
