Motorist Spots Friend's Stolen Mazda Traveling on Hwy 101
The friend had posted earlier on Facebook the vehicle theft and a photo of the swiped Miata.

Officers Wednesday recovered a stolen vehicle belonging to a Santa Rosa resident, according to Santa Rosa police.
California Highway Patrol received a call at 1:55 p.m. on Wednesday from someone following a possible stolen vehicle on northbound U.S. Highway 101, officer Jonathan Sloat said.
Further investigation revealed that Santa Rosa Police had received a report of a stolen Mazda Miata from the San Miguel Road area on Tuesday, Sloat said.

The owner of the car posted information about the theft on Facebook along with a picture of the Mazda, and a Facebook friend saw the post and called the CHP when the car was spotted on Highway 101, according to Sloat.
Officers intercepted the Mazda at Arata Lane and arrested Thomas Baker, 47, of Santa Rosa, who has a history of vehicle theft, Sloat said.
