Mountain Lion Sighting In Santa Rosa

The large cat was not demonstrating aggressive behavior, police said, but residents were asked to keep small pets inside.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A mountain lion was spotted Tuesday morning in Santa Rosa, police warned.

The sighting was in the area of Montgomery Drive and Jacqueline Drive, the Santa Rosa Police Department said shortly after 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.

"It is not demonstrating aggressive behavior at this time," police said. "Please keep small pets inside if possible."
