No More Booze Allowed At 'Mom's Beach' In Forestville
Alcohol-related complaints led to the new rules, which begin July 1 at the Forestville River Access.

News from SONOMA COUNTY REGIONAL PARKS:
Sonoma County Regional Parks will no longer allow alcohol at Forestville River Access (also known as Mom’s or Mother’s Beach) starting July 1, 2015. The new restriction is the result of numerous complaints and observations of public intoxication, underage drinking, and aggressive behavior.
Information about the alcohol policy is posted in the beach parking area at 10584 River Drive, along the beach access trail, and at local businesses serving beachgoers. In addition, parks staff are frequenting the beach this week to personally inform visitors of the new rule.

Forestville River Access visitors with unopened containers of alcohol will be asked to return them to their cars or to leave the park altogether. Visitors with open containers will be asked to pour out the contents. Subsequent violations will lead to misdemeanor citations, court appearances and fines.
