North Bay 49ers Fans Flock To Pop-Up Shops
Niners' hats, T-shirts, scarves and even baby clothes are being sold ahead of Sunday's big game, Super Bowl LIV.
NORTH BAY, CA — With Super Bowl LIV hype at full throttle for Sunday's big game between San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, North Bay fans are buying hats, jerseys, flags, banners and other football gear in a show of support for their team which last made a Super Bowl appearance seven years ago in 2013 against the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII.
National Football League-licensed merchandise is being sold at pop-up tents stocked with everything from baby clothes, scarves and T-shirts, to earrings, cups and flags — all decorated with the San Francisco 49er logo for Super Bowl 2020.
Alex Melendez, a New England Patriots fan, says he traveled all the way from Massachusetts to operate a pop-up store in a parking lot near Safeway in Rohnert Park.
