Officials ID Rohnert Park Man Killed In Crash Near Petaluma

A Rohnert Park man died Saturday when his car collided with another vehicle in unincorporated Sonoma County near Petaluma, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Steven Lamont, 25, of Rohnert Park, was driving south on Old Adobe Road near Corona Road around 10:30 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of his Nissan 240SX and spun into the northbound lane, CHP Officer Jon Sloat said.

A northbound Nissan 350Z struck the driver’s side of Lamont’s Nissan 240SX and Lamont was pronounced dead at the scene, Sloat said.

The 62-year-old Novato woman who was driving the Nissan 350Z suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital, according to the CHP.

The collision is still under investigation.
