Pair Accused In Santa Rosa Car-To-Car Shooting Held On $1M Bail
Police arrested the pair on suspicion of attempted murder and are still searching for outstanding suspects in the South Santa Rosa shooting.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A 19-year-old Windsor woman and a 20-year-old Santa Rosa man remained behind bars Monday in lieu of $1 million bail for their alleged roles in a car-to-car shooting Saturday in the Roseland area of Santa Rosa that left a man hospitalized.
Santa Rosa police say they were notified just before 6 p.m. Saturday of shots fired in the 2300 block of Corby Avenue; moments later, they received a report that a male gunshot victim was in a car at 7-Eleven, 1779 Corby Ave.
The shooting victim was treated at the scene, then taken to a hospital for further treatment of not life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers determined that an argument between several people in two separate vehicles near the 2300 block of Corby Avenue escalated into a person in one of the cars shooting the victim who was seated in the other car, police said.
Police contacted Miguel Angel Sanchez-Aleman of Santa Rosa and Crystal Angelina Sanchez-Lemus of Windsor near the scene and detained the pair.

A gun believed to have been used in the incident was also recovered, according to police.
Sanchez-Aleman was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of attempted murder and accessory to an assault with a deadly weapon, according to police and jail records.
Sanchez-Lemus was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion attempted murder, accessory to and assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a loaded firearm, records showed.
Sunday night, Santa Rosa police were still searching for outstanding suspects in the shooting. A reward of up to $2,500 is offered by the Sonoma County Alliance “Take Back Our Community Program” for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspect/s involved in the incident.
