Plan Ahead: Road Closures Coming

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform major maintenance and paving on State Route 37 (SR-37) between SR-29 in Solano County and SR-121 in Sonoma County starting Friday, September 19 at 10 p.m.

To ensure worker and public safety, two consecutive weekends and five weekday nights of full highway closures on SR-37 between SR-29 and SR-121 are scheduled.

The full highway closures are scheduled during the two weekends of Friday, September 19 starting at 10 p.m. until Monday, September 22 at 5 a.m., and the following weekend, Friday, September 26 starting at 10 p.m. until Monday, September 29 at 5 a.m.

Also scheduled are five weekday nights of work from Monday, September 29 until Friday, October 3 from 10 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning. All work is weather permitting. Detour signs will be posted.

Detour Routes-Westbound SR-37 detour starts at SR-37/SR29 Interchange. During the SR-37 closures, westbound SR-37 motorists should use northbound SR-29, to southbound SR -121, and re-enter SR-37 at the SR-121/SR 37 Interchange.

Eastbound SR-37 detour starts at SR-37/SR-121. Eastbound SR-37 motorists should use northbound SR-121, then southbound SR-29, and re-enter eastbound SR-37.

From San Francisco and Marin Counties, motorists heading to Sonoma County are advised to use northbound U.S. 101 to eastbound SR-116 when closures are in effect.

Motorists should allow for extra travel time.
