Police Officer Injured, Rohnert Park Man Arrested for Assault
The suspect ended up in the hospital.

Police arrested a man this afternoon in Rohnert Park on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police said today.
Officers responded at 2:19 p.m. to a home in the 100 block of Madrigal Street, according to police.
The first officer to arrive heard breaking glass inside the home, police Cmdr. Jeff Taylor said. Taylor said police were told that the suspect, 50-year-old Rohnert Park resident Brian Guillory, was looking for a gun and was going to kill someone.

The first arriving officer called to Guillory who then allegedly hid in the home for a moment. Guillory then allegedly fled out the other side and left in a white Cadillac, Taylor said. The backup officer arrived and allegedly saw Guillory leaving. He swerved to let Guillory go and then pursue, when Guillory allegedly drove head-on into his vehicle, Taylor said.
Police said witnesses told them the suspect was driving at about 50 mph when the crash occurred. The officer suffered pain, lacerations and glass in a hand, according to police. The officer was treated and released from a hospital, according to Taylor.
